After three years of not getting my boat done, I've realized that a CP-16 is more boat than I can manage.  Darn it, just too much life and varied interests going on!  This 1981 model has received some upgrades, and needs just a little more work to hit the water.  Please see the craigslist posting for photos and particulars:  http://burlington.craigslist.org/boa/5263785385.html

Boat is located in Vermont, and I would consider a creative local barter arrangement, in whole or in part.  Say, for a small sail-row boat, or an Ocean Explorer or other small owner-built box boat.  Something incredibly simple.  Please tell your boat-building friends in VT or NH!

This forum has been so helpful and so much fun for the last few years.  I will miss you folks as much as the CP-16, maybe more!  Thanks--  Gretcheng

Well however this sale works out, please stop back from time to time. It costs nothing and the entertainment value is priceless, not to mention we may be able to lure you back to Compac-land. Best to you. I'm kind of in the same boat (pun quite intended) in that I run out of week well before I run out of fun things I should be doing. Do you cross county ski? That's one way I stay sane in the winter but we don't get the same snow here in NJ as you do. Please send some down this winter!!!
Good luck selling your boat...but if you are that close to completion, maybe you should keep her.

Thanks for the kind words, Bob23!  It seems to me I'd get a lot more sailing done with less work if I had a tiny vessel that I could handle by myself.  Thus the decision to stop working on the wrong boat, even if it's a nice one, and get myself headed in a better direction.  Whenever I downsize and simplify, it works out much better for my fun quotient!

I used to cross-country ski, but now I snowshoe.  We can just walk out the door and go for miles through woods and fields.  If you get to hankering for snow, just come on up!  Meanwhile, I'll be sending NJ some snow vibes this winter, I promise.  All the best--  Gretcheng

you might want to try listing your ad in small craft advisor.

an ad without a pic is free, and you'll reach more potential sailors with small home made boats to trade.

And the fun quotient is what it's all about and when it's not fun, why do it? Sure, send me some VT snow vibes down although in past winters we've had some. Last winter I had mucho fun cross country skiing on the beach! Really nice to be on the snow and a few feet from breaking waves. I'd been thinking that this winter I may head north to ski if we don't get much so I may take you up on your offer! Here in the NJ Pine barrens, there are zillions of miles of trails to ski on.
Shoot! I'm guilty of thread theft big time!

Thread theft!  Somebody call the Site Administrator!  :-)  We'll allow it for this gorgeous shot, Bob23--wow, that must be a kick traveling on snow next to the ocean!  Sometimes when I'm crossing a windswept field it feels a little like the ocean.  Watch the VT snow reports and let me know when you want to venture north.

CC, thanks for the tip on the small craft advisor site--I'll give it a go right now.
