5 HP 2013 Mercury long shaft for sale

Bought this engine new for a 21' O'Day I owned for six months.  The guy I sold the vessel to didn't need the engine, so I changed the crankcase oil, oiled the top cylinders, and put it into storage.  A month ago I had Jeff Grigg at Green Pond Marine, in Green Pond, SC, tune it up, install a new impeller, and run it.  A friend is now handling the sale for me, through Craigs List.  Under boats for sale, search the Hilton Head section for "5 HP Mercury".  The ad went up today.  Chuck Prentice is handling the business end, he can be reached at 843 812-2834.  The engine is located in Sheldon, SC, on the coast between Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC.  It can be shipped, but I recommend you come, inspect it, and pick it up.  If need be, we can bench run it, or hook it on something and take it down to the landing.  It's a deal waiting for someone.

The engine is part of a bunch of accumulated boat gear, test equipment and reference books I loaded on Capt. Chuck to sell for me.  Setting price, dealing with buyers and such was left up to him, otherwise with my schedule, if I had to deal with the details it will never get done.  Responding to your inquiry, I did like I recommended prospective buyers do, and searched CraigsList for Hilton Head Boats For Sale.  The thousand buck price Chuck put on it, I think is very reasonable.  The engine shows well, runs beautifully, and I think is well worth the price.  You could also call Jeff Grigg at Green Pond Marine just north of here.  He did the most recent service work.  Come inspect it if interested.  Chuck and I are both located on Paige Point on the Whale Branch River, in Sheldon Township of Beaufort County, SC.  That's mid-way between Charleston and Savannah.
