Hi, does any of you live in the PNW?  Have you sailed your compac 23 there?  What is the area like for sailing?  Thanks.

While not a CP23 guy, I moderate a sailing discussion board with a friend up there in Everett. Should be able to contact him thru his site at www.captainscottsailing.com. Tell him "Emergency Exit" sent you. A truly nice guy who should be able to answer any questions.

I live in S. Oregon but have sailed extensively in the San Juan and Gulf Islands (mostly in bareboat charters).  I sail my Drascombe Lugger and Compac 19 in local lakes...but have trailed a previous boat (Cal 20) to the islands as well.  It is a great place to sail...unlimited area...just review your anchor inventory if you are going to be on the hook.

I sail my CP23 out of Port Townsend, there's just a little island between us (Whidbey).  It's a wonderful area to sail, in fact I'm hoping to circumnavigate Whidbey Island sometime this summer, perhaps I'll see you on the water :-)

Bee,
I am late in the game on answering, but I have a CP23 out of Olympia. It is fabulous sailing up here. I also have an Irwin 30ft in a slip in Olympia, but prefer to sail the CP23 for short cruises. It's just a hoot to sail.
