Anybody have a foiled rudder blade to fit a Com-Pac 23? I have the stock flat blade and would love to replace it with a foiled blade. Please respond if you have one to sell.

Chief:
I don't know of anyone who'd switch from a foiled blade back to flat. You can buy 'em from a few sources...just do a search here. I built my own wood foiled blade utilizing my original flat blade. If you do buy a foiled rudder and want to sell your flat, I may be interested. I'd like to design and build blade #2 for my 23.

I can build you a stainless blade it would be about 300. Don't know what commercial ones are going for. It would be thinner at the post, stronger, and in a waterfoil. ( l have the material because I was going to weld one from my old boat. I had made an aluminum one but wanted a slimmer profile.)

Hello Newt,
I am very interested in having the least costly choice for a foiled rudder ; can yu also do a foil like rudder craft uses a dense plastic/abs type material ?
even if not, I may just go with SS if no other way..
PS - I live in ypsilanti , Michigan 48198 -- nestled between Ann Arbor and Detroit..How far are yu from me ?
Also -- I have to update my email notification to new address : hockeyfool46@gmail.com -- I can be reached quickest there.
