Sale on Torqeedo 1003

I just ordered a Torqeedo 1003L for my Horizon Day Cat that should be delivered next month.
The list price is $1999, but Defender has it for 20% off right now, a $400 savings.  If anyone is thinking of getting one, this is the time.  I talked with a dealer who said he pays more than $1599 for the engine, so this is a great deal.  Still more than a gas engine, but its getting closer.  Their sale is now though Sun, and I think it is just for in-stock items.

Wow, that's awesome.  Hopefully as this becomes more mainstream, the prices will continue to fall.  Do I want one? Yes, I do.  Do I need one?  No, maybe next time.  By then, I expect battery capacity to have increased quite a bit.  Battery technology is about to make some giant leaps, I expect the next 2 years to be a race for this.  The major player is Tesla and Elon Musk.
