Selling used main and jib sails off my '81 CP-16 Mk 1. These are Sailcare refurbished Johnson Sails. Previous owner had the sails refurbished and then never used them before selling the boat. I sailed on the jib for one summer before replacing and the main for two summers before replacing. Sailcare cleaned and reresined the sails. Bolt rope on the main was replaced. Jib was converted to luff wire for use with a Harken small boat furler. Jib could be used on a homemade furler or flown hankless with appropriate halyard tension. Sails look good to the eye and are clean and free of tears. The only area of dirt/wear is near the tack of the jib where it rubs on the bow pulpit (visible in the photo) Despite the refurbishing, sail shape when set is not great. Coming from a performance sailing background, I was not happy with shape and decided to replace with new, high quality USA built sails. If your sails are old, dirty, or stretched way out of shape and you simply like to care free cruise or daysail, you will probably find these sails perfectly satisfactory. Main has two sets of reef points, ComPac logo and sail number 1385. Jib is a 130% on an Mk 1 rig and would be closer to a 110% on a Mk 2/3 rig. Price is $50 for both sails, plus shipping from zip code 96161.
