2-15-25: Gerry Hutchins, founder of Com-Pac, has crossed the bar and headed west.

Sincere condolences to his family, and a huge "Thank You!" to Gerry from all of us, I'm sure.

I was sailing the Caloosahatchee river yesterday, on my way for an overnight to one of my favorite anchorages, when off in the distance what did my eyes see? The distinct, and classic lines of another Com Pac, in fact another CP23, I altered course, and came along side, we shouted greetings to each other for a few moments, then I tacked, and head back on my original course.
I didn't catch the mariners name...but it looked as though he had sailed many miles.
Perhaps the Capt. is on this web board?

Blue Skies,

p.s.
I had a great two days of sailing and a perfect overnight :-)
