Brenda and I want to thank our good friends Sarah and Steve for once again hosting and organizing the wonderful CLR event.  They both go out of their way to ensure everyone has a great time.  It gets harder each year to say that final goodbye to each of you.

Your friends,

I'll echo that. Thank you so much for putting clr together.  I know it's tons of work but it is appreciated by this Jersey boy. And it was hard for me also to say goodbye.. I'll be back next year. With a bigger water cannon!

Yes, thank you both for the hard work and effort. As a new attendee of the event I felt welcomed and at home with a  great bunch of sailors. I can think of 3 highlights  1) The race modified outboard of CrazyCarl, the quick sail logo change by the Greenes, and finally having Roger explain the necessity of the padded speaders on Kick's boat! I also want to especially thank everyone for the party goodies, the bucket, the bug spray, self welding tape... list goes on. Thank you all for a great event!! Matt

We too extend our thank you with great appreciation to setting this all up and to keep it going. It is literally the highlight of our year, and we actually plan this as our first vacation time usage for the year.

I look forward to 2015 along with my wife, and we second the hard part being saying goodbye till next year.

It was fantastic to have Bob23 there, and to meet all the other new attendees. Hope they all can attend next year!

One note of warning is in order for anyone seeking to attend 2015. At the awards ceremony, there was an innocent looking elixer present which was concocted by Ginger and it looked like a mild punch of sorts. I immediately had a taste and discovered it was in fact a statospheric and tasty blend of just about every alcohol known to man... and some yet to be discovered. Upon my first sip, I suspected the octane rating to be just below dragster fuel but it tasted much better. Not that I've imbibed dragster fuel, mind you. I believe she called it "Tie me to the main mast". I might have renamed it "Ginger's high octane wonder juice".
After the 6th glass, I felt I should reef my rate of ingestion so I could at least partially function at the dock party. Good thing for at said party, Crazy Carl who was in rare form as he related a story of travel to close on a boat deal, had us in such stiches that my stomach hurt the next day from laughing! I now realize that these 2 must have conspired together. What a team!
Needless to say, the bicycle ride back to the campground was memorable, or would've been if I could recall it. I made it back unscathed, found my tent and settled in for a night of dreams of mainmasts!
Thanks, all! I  had the time of my life! It was and will be one of the highpoints of 2014 for me. It is 2014, right? And Ginger, remember to email the recipe to me unless of course it's classified.

Amen!  This was the best CLR to date.  Heck, I'm STILL drinking the surplus PBR bequeathed to me by Bob!

to all who attended-----it was our pleasure (well sarah did all the work---im the "idea" guy). next year will be the "jimmy buffet" clr and those who attend   will i repeat WILL dress appropriately at the awards dinner (if we dont look silly the locals will think the event has been cancelled. i have decided that matt will be in charge of the phrf ratings for the big clr cup race (jason of course will be the signal man). we had a lot of laughs this year to be sure but next year will be even better. i think the new attendees were made to feel very welcome and it made for a great mix. those sailors who are thinking about next years event rest assured that great people and great times (especially if we get some wind) await you. make sure you send your pics to salty 19 so he can produce the dvd (thanks again buddy)

Amen to the pictures.  I have pics from the Greene's and Bruce, but that's it.  Won't be much of a DVD without more pictures to include.

One day when my upload side of my net is running properly, or when I get a chance to get to my friends place, I will be able to upload pictures.

Everytime I try from home it gets hung up and keeps locking out. It has something to do with the upstream, and my ISP is working on it.

mike, did you not get ours>

None that I see.  Remember email will limit the size of your email.  Maybe attach 3-5 at a time. Maybe more if your file sizes are small.

Really the best thing for everyone is to post 'em on photo bucket or any photo hosting site.

Oh yes, Jason I can pull some of yours off Facebook. Maybe send the ones you didn't put on Facebook?

I would like to thank Sarah and Steve for setting this up and for the marketing leading up to the 2014 event.  That is why I as a newbie attended this year.  I certainly am glad I did and look forward to future CLRs.  I was amazed by the breadth of sailing knowledge and experience I witnessed and was told about by several of the attendees.  I was trying to soak up as much as I could.  I would also like to thank the Greene's  for the really neat canvas bucket and Ginger for the great tasting ice tea.  I hope you make it next year as well.  I really didn't focus on taking pictures this year I could tell Mac had it covered.  I'll make sure I take some next year!

Thanks Again,

Sailing on Second Wind,

Chris
