Just saw an ad for a C19 in Spinsheet (Chesapeake Bay sailing magazine). It is erroneously listed as a 20 footer. Here is the text of the ad:

20" Com-Pac 1986, cruising sloop with custom trailer and 5 HP outboard, fixed keel, 2 foot draft, bronze ports, sleeps 4. Sea Scouts. $2500. Steve Alexander. stevedalex@msn.com      301-646-0805

Just thought I'd pass this on, as it is a good price and a good cause!

Hey Bob- if I had some more room, I'd have it here in a jiffy. The 19 and 23 are my favorite models in the Compac line, and doing a third 19 would certainly be a fun project- I think you should tow that puppy home!  I am thinking that the next project will be automotive, as there are two boats residing on the premises currently, and I have not done any British restos in a while. Beck and I splashed Beagle3 yesterday morning and had a fantastic sail up the river to Mill Creek and put her at my neighbor's dock for a month or so, then up to the Wicomico for the remainder of the season. All new instrumentation and systems performed very well and the boat sailed as expected. If the weather holds, we hope to get a sail in tomorrow.  Pedro

If I get one more boat, the Admiral has indicated that I'll be wearing concrete boots! I just had a friend offer me for free, an older O'Day Widgeon. I really like those little boats so with total disregard to Linda's threats, I'm gonna accept! I like to live dangerously. And I still have this bloody Precision 15K.
But honestly, I've been paying more attention to the Guideboat lately than the 23. She still sits under her cover ...I'm so behind on my list- been working too much...gotta keep my insurance company's pockets lined!
Glad you've been out...really miss your company and hopefully soon we'll be sharing Painkillers again!
British restore project, eh? A friend just gave me some copies of Hemmings "Sports and Exotics" magazine. Some very interesting cars indeed. Car porn is worse than boat porn.
  Hi to Beck!

Yeah Bob, that car porn is addictive stuff!!  I am on the trail of an old Sunbeam Tiger (Ford 260 or 289 V8) that the F&I guy at the Toyota dealer was privy to. Never did a Sunbeam, so if it isn't a rust bucket, it may end up at the plantation! Miss pizza and chianti with you and Linda (mostly Linda, as you are a PITA generally!), but if you find the time, get on down to VA for some good sailing on an over-farkeled C23!  Tow the Precision on down when you come- I've always wanted one of those puppies!    I remember the Sunbeam Tigers! I was fortunate to be in foriegn car repair work in the early 70's and we had some great British cars come through. Many of them since they broke down all the time. I missed some great oportunities: 1967 Volvo 122 wagon, Porsche 356, Fiat 124 Spider, numerous TR-6 and TR- 4A. I was too busy buying broke down VW's and fixing them up. Dime a dozen back then. Collector cars now with big $.
A good friend of mine procurred a rare MGCGT. I used to steal my sisters Fiat 850 Spider and we go racing around town like maniacs. Ah...the good old days! That Fiat had a redline up in the statosphere...my sister never knew how I drove it. The car enjoyed it, though.
Ciao!
