i know i have asked this many times before but here it goes again. will a com-pac 19 fit through an eight foot garage door? we have decided to move up to a larger boat. i have considered a catalina capri 18 but have been told that it wont fit. the com-pac 19 just might. i need the complete length as well.

Kick,

Sunday I am bringing mine home early morning. I will be working on it all day with Ginger, and I will call you probably, maybe you should come by and we can measure and you can see exactly what the problems are and such. I am not sure mine will be in the garage but it will be in the driveway.

Guys,

Don't forget tongue hinge if you need to shorten overall length on trailer for garage storage. I put one on my Sun Cat trailer and it works quite well.

i think the length of my garage is probably enough. the height especially at the bow pulpit is the real concern. another boat im considering the catalina capri 18 isnt as long but might be too tall. its a shame, cause if it wont fit i cant buy it. appreciate the input. ill call you tomorrow jason and i might be up there.

Just got done getting the boat in the driveway, so it is here finally. Tomorrow I plan to be around all day probably, as I have several jobs with the wife scheduled for the boat.

Call me would be good for a heads up.

My garage opening is 94.5 inches.
I have a drop in the front of the garage so that needs to be taken into account, basically my truck hitch is lower in the garage opening than it is just outside the door.

With my top of ball at about 17.5 inches, The stern rail clears by 6 inches.
The tongue when the bow rail comes to the door has 10 inches of clearance below, and the bow rail clears by 2.5 inches

This sets the boat in the shop at about 92 inches tall in the rear and 92 inches tall in the front. my floor has a slope, but it is pretty flat overall. That 3 inch slope is over 30 feet, so that probably helps with a hitch difference in the beginning as well.

Option - can pick up a few inches by deflating the tires, or bare spare rims that would mess up a nice floor! Or those rollers car guys use, under the hubs?

i may have found another option----only problem, its not a com-pac
