ports / glass delaminating and sargent shultz

before the question - i must quote Sargent Schultz, "I see nothing, and I know nothing!  I wasn't here, I didn't even wake up this morning!"

and , i do not know if delaminating is the correct term -

that being said, i have two oval ports - glass seems to be delaminating - needs to be replaced - my question is - What do i replace the glass with"
is there a special type glass to be used? has the requirement or options changed from the time the boat was manufactured in 1990

Glass used in windows must be either tempered or laminated. I removed one of my old clouded ones and took it to a local glass shop. Tempered replacements required several weeks lead time (each piece must be cut to shape first, then subjected to the heat tempering process). I wanted instant gratification so I went with laminated (safety glass) which they just cut out of a big sheet. I went ahead and did all four of mine although they were not all clouded (yet).

There's a recent thread here about a member who made his own laminated glass by purchasing adhesive plastic for the inner layer.
