I lost the lens cover for the deck light that is sometimes called a bow light, or other names, anyway -- where do i get a replacement ?
I see a Defender catalog where Whitecap brand looks similar ...?

Post a pic if possible. Sounds like you may be talking about your bi-color bow navigation light. Most CP navigation lights are Aqua Signal Series 25, and complete replacements are readily available (from Defender and others) and reasonably priced. Doubt you will find replacement component parts. The lights are German made and I've never seen a parts source.

I don't know your year but on my 1985 23, the bow nav lights were individual Perko lights. I think I found replacements at Defender but I honestly don't remember. But I do know they are Perko lights.

I think a pic would help.  Are you talking about the deck illumination lamp that is on the mast about spreader height?  Mine is a combo fixture, has both deck and steaming.  I think I have the model written down at home but I'm on the road right now.  A pic would tell me if yours is the same.

Sorry - should have indicated it is on the mast- half way up - mounted on a round teak or mahogany plate  -- deck light ?
boat still have shrink wrap on it -- I will get to it today .

Hock:
I believe that's the steaming light. Mine is the same. I don't know the brand of mine but you can get a similiar light almost anywhere.  What year is  your boat? Mine is a 1985 23/2.

Could be a Robert Bausch lamp.

Check the Bausch catalog, or buy a light, hook it up.

skip.

You can buy replacement lenses for Aqua Signal Series 25, I've replaced both the bow and stern lenses on mine as they were all cracked and chalky.
Although you might want to replace the whole light with an LED version.
Official Coast Guard certifications require that the manufacturer test the light fixture with it's bulb in order to meet certification criteria.  If you replace your nav light bulbs with LED bulbs, they might work fine but technically they are not certified anymore.
