I have been sailing my CP16 in Lake Nockamixon located near Quakertown, PA for 3 years now. However, we had a wonderful GP14 there for 4 years before the CP16 so we have been in the marina going now into our 8th year.  Located on D dock the entire time, I can count 8 Com-Pacs just from sitting in my slip. There are many more CP's located at Nock, including 16's 19's and 23's.

Question is how many of these owners are on this BBS? I know a few . . . It would be interesting to find out. How about some responses?

It is also interesting at how many CP's reside each summer at Nock and how many trailor sail there. Quite a few for a location this far from Clear Water, FL home birthplace of the CP.

Also with interest I note that I have never yet seen a CP down at the Jersey Shore? We typically spend two weeks or more there every year in the Ocean City -Sommers Point area which is loaded with all types of boats.

I trailer sail to Lake Nockamixon and see Gil all the time.  Although we frequent the Ocean City area alot, the shallow ramps are what discourage me from taking the Compac with.  We use to have a Mariner at the Macmor Marina (condos with slips now) when I was a kid.  Until a few years ago, we took the powerboat and had a transient slip for the week we were there at All Seasons Marina.  If I could find a decent ramp, I would love to take the Compac down.  I did see one CP16 in the Egg Harbor area, unfortunatly, it was on the hard.

Hi Jim,

Good info . . . When in OC we usually rent kyaks and sometimes a Hobiecat at BayCats. Always considered taking Steppin' Up down there but it is too much work involved and the ramps in OC are not convenient for this. In all the time we have spent on the bay between OC ans Sommers Pt, we never saw a ComPac?

Hey guys,

There will be a Com Pac sailing the Barnegat Bay this summer for sure!
Somewhere between Waretown and Tuckerton depending on what the ramps look like.

I'd also love to trailer her up to the Nock sometime.

JERSEY SHORE TRAILER SAILERS

Barnegat Bay is a beautiful area. I used to fish down there. You are certainly welcome to come up to Nockamixon. We could have a comPac party. The main two brands of sailboats at nock are Precision and ComPac. The marina holds 500+ boats, most of which are sailboats and there are probalby 25 or so CP's! I never cunted all of them but there are quite a few.

Like most marinas, at any one given time most boats are in their slips so there is always plenty of room to sail out on the lake.
