This Compac 23 III is essentially a model IV with the official Compac foil rudder and new bronze bushings that vastly improves performance. This will sail faster than most Compac model IIIs. It was purchased from the first owner in 2006 and improved for single handed sailing since then. Sail inventory: 2 mainsails (one new in 2012) 135 Jib Asymmetrical spinnaker with sock (new condition) Sail Systems: CDI furler - added ratchet block, harken leads and cam cleat for ease of handling jib Main sheet traveler (you can use OEM system or traveler for sheeting the main) Boom vang, Harken lazy jacks Harken mainsheet reefing system Harken ratchet blocks, cam cleats and rail blocks for preventer or spinnaker (double use) Two spinlock double clutches and Harken organizer to bring four lines to the cabin Outboard power: 2000 Tohatsu 9.8 2 stroke. New prop with short pitch high thrust - boat will go slower at idle, start and stop faster than standard. Electric start and remote controls Navigation (all 2000): Compass Depth gauge Exterior extras: Bottom was professionally soda cleaned 2011, with new barrier coat and Vivid bottom paint, varnish is 2012 and 2013. Large Bimini Bottom Siders closed foam cushions Top Gun winter cover (2011) Oversize bronze portholes by Newfound Metals (installed by first owner) Trailer (2000): Standard performance trailer for Compac modified for extra long extension for ease of launching New trailer tires and spare tire. Interior: Cloth cushions Stove, sink and water tank Porta-potti Added Brass barometer, clock and light.
