Yes, I am still sailing the ComPac 19, although right now the ice is 6" thick.  I have been busy building wind turbines, and cool electronic circuits that run lighting from 12 volts on very very low amps.  It occurs to me this is a great place to share some of this stuff I have learned.  Basically, if you have ever come out to the boat and the battery is dead, or if by 11 pm and you haven't settled in for the nights slumber and your cabin light goes out, i have some good ideas for you.
Maybe this is the time of year to talk about this too.
I wont plug products - promise.  Everything on my YouTube channel is open source DIY simple.  http://www.youtube.com/user/LynxSteam?feature=mhee

Anyway, checking in, reporting for duty.

Great to have you stop by, Marcus!  I like your wind turbine ideas. And your Steam Engine ideas.  As an old Marine Engineer I studied boilers and steam engines and turbines in college.

For those of you out there that may not know Marcus you should do a search for "mgoller"'s posts.  Very read - worthy postings.
