Hey everyone!

I plan to do a DIY of the foiled rudder, as for sure now I wont be buying the IDA setup. This may include a easier way to pull up the original as well as long as the prototypes work out.
I also plan to paint the sides, but wont be painting the deck.... :(
Will be making a prop protector, that will be custom to every motor. Will protect from hitting the foiled rudders as well.
Resealing of hardware using Life Caulk, maybe that will help some of you to keep the mess under control.
Installation of Bimini
And I am sure a few other things like blister repair, bottom job, and some Gelcoat repair as well.

The deck was on the list till the Washer and Dryer went out........ at the same time......OUCH!

Wife is really happy with the new ones though... that is what counts........ Me, well it is gonna take me a while to figure out how they work... there is a lot more crap on these.... Maybe, just maybe, I wont have to help with laundry?!?!?!?!

Anyway, I hope to get to work on these soon and get some stuff up for you all.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Enjoy the time with your families!

Sounds like a lot of work.
I can relate to the w/d dilema. A few years ago, we invested in a high-end washer- it even had great reviews in Consumers Digest. Fast forward to 18 months later- after 1 repair that wouldv'e cost about 500 clams (but my appliance guy covered it- I send all my customers there and he knows it) the second repair wouldv'e been another 450 clams- I decided it's new home was the curb.
Conversly, my old electric dryer was ancient when my friend gave it to me about 15 years ago. When the belt broke and I went down for parts, my appliance guy told me they made millions of this model, it has no electronics whatsoever, and they are bomb-proof. Still going strong today.
Sorry for the drift...now back to our regularly scheduled program. Mac- looking forward to seeing photos of your projects. What were you planning to do to the deck? My friend who owns a Morgan 30 redid his non-skip with Kiwi Grip. Easy to apply, inexpensive and looks great.

"...redid his non skip"[?]. Anyway, have a swell Turkey day.

And you know if the rudder was FULLY down that the outboard propeller would not be able to gouge the ruder blade. Either aluminium or plastic. Another reason why the rudder on Comfort & Joy is bolted down.

And the rudder does not hang lower then the trailing edge of the keel. And since the fiberglass of the keel is covered by a glued on 6mm aluminium KEEK BOOT I gleefully bounce over the rocks as, with most of us, our waters are thin coming into port. We need rain, a hard freeze and a ton of snow. A 100 inch or more snow fall up stream would be fine with me. I'm on my winter lay-off from my County job. I do have a part time at the drug store. And I do what I can under the table till April.

Koinonia

Sometimes housework just gets in the way, and I dont enjoy working on the house like I enjoy working on the boat.  Im just about done with the kitchen remodel, then there is a bathroom remodel and a facelift of the second bathroom.  After this I can work on putting a freshly rebuilt and bigger engine in koinonia, thats my motivation for getting the house done asap!  Its in my shed just begging to be installed!
