Well boys and girls,

I went sailing this past Sunday on the H23 that I posted for sale here for an old friend.

My friend passed away 2 weeks ago, and his family, not wanting to deal with an older sailboat many hours away, gave me the booger.

Well.... She responded to the lightest touch, a trim here, an adjustment to the vang there...I thoroughly enjoyed the 18 miles in three and a half hours we spent single-handed together.

When I came home and looked down at S'Go in her temporary slip (water level is down 4.5 feet), she knew I had cheated on her with another boat.  Damn those Hutchins, they give each boat their own soul!  I am wracked with guilt!  I don't know where to turn!

I confessed this transgression to the Admiral.  She has forgiven me.  But S'Go? I think not.  S'Go hasn't even whispered my name when we had steady winds from the NE (her favorite wind direction).

Alas, I'm at  a loss.

Ashamedly,

TG

Sorry to hear the news of your friend, Tim. Every time we experience loosing someone close, something inside us screams out that we've been cheated!

Don't be too hard on yourself, my son. Your Compac will soon forgive you, although they are a jealous lot. She knows in her heart that you are true-blue; it was just a fling. It's good for you to bare your soul here among the brethren..we've all thusly transgressed...you are forgiven!

BUT DON'T DO IT AGAIN...OR ELSE!!!

Thanks Father Bob,

That H23 (the Hussy!) is quick though, heels gently to 15 degrees and stays there.

Still ashamed, TG

Tim:
The fact that you feel remorse proves that you are not a lost soul. I implore you to turn your back on this fast lady...sure- she looks attactive now but, take my word for it: She will leave you high and dry while your Compac is a faithful and true women. And a lot prettier, too!
Believe me: Sitting on this side of the confessional, Iv'e heard it all before. Man meets boat. Man falls in love with boat. Man gets to comfortable with boat and his eyes stray to the hottie in the next slip. Next thing you know, man falls overboard and is never seen again. Don't let this happen to you!
Father Bob23...btw, is that H23 for sale? Ohhhhh...I can't believe I just said that!!!
