I changed my stainless bolts that attach the rudder to the transom at the gudgeons  and think I may have dropped a
very small brass sleeve or bushing that fit into one of the channels for the pintle bolts.. I then searched for a temporary fix using
a thin plumbing line tube ( copper/brass ) and slid it back into channel . I tiny bit of slop, but noe sure that is the culprit.
Checked all areas  around transom and rudder , didnt see cracks or damage indicators.
So - think I need to get the proper diameter or factory replacement bushing , maybe ? Help please .

Within the last 2 weeks someone posted about this repair. I know Skip participated. I think you can get the proper bronze bushing at Lowe's and I've seen them at local mom and pop hardware stores. It will require some drilling out but using a hand power drill will work- a drill press is not needed...this can be done on the boat.
   Search around here...you'll find it.

You can get them from Hutchins for less than three bucks.  Jim
