For about a week when I accessed this site a warning notice appeared. The claim was that the page was an "attack page," whatever that is. I had three offers: Open the page, "get me out of here" and more info. Not trusting any of it I simply went with get me out. Any one else have this happen? I noticed postings with dates which coincided with the warnings.

Have not seen any of that or encountered any problems.

I'm on the forum several times a day, seven days a week.  Fortunately I haven't experienced anything like that either.

That has been happening to me too. I think it is specific to firefox, possibly only the newest version, which would explain why not everyone is seeing it. Each time it has happened I've selected "this is not an attack site", hopefully firefox will remove it from their list.

When I first started frequenting this forum, I noticed one of the URLs for the "links" page was flagged as containing "malware."
I currently link to the home page and since about 5 days ago this page is now showing malware content also. I ignore the warning but I am wondering what is triggering the warning?

jcatkeson

interesting that not all received it. It lasted about fie or six days for me. Not knowing what it was about I did not bypass it.

shamblin

i had it with google chrome browser.

Thanks to CaptK, the site has been cleaned of the malware.

Delete Chrome. It's not about malware, but rather all the info Chrome picks up on you...

On the contrary - the malware threat was real (see Capt. K's separate post about finding and removing it) and Chrome was just doing its job, and apparently doing it better than IE. I would be concerned if my system had NOT reported malware problems. This probably means you have inadequate protection.

I received a warning the first time I found this site. I went away and tried it again several days later with no warnings or problems. I work on a Macintosh computer.
