Hi All, bought my 16 last week from a member of this association in Ft. Lauderdale. I'm downsizing from a SouthCoast Seacraft 22. It was a nice boat, but just a little too much for me to handle alone. I also am happier to have a shoal keel instead of a swing keel.
Like all the old boats ( she's a '76) there is some work to be done, so this forum is a great place to get advise and ideas. I've already spent hours reading the posts!

I'm hoping my hubby and I can finish up some little things and get her launched this weekend. Can't wait to see how she sails. Her name was Forever, but I'm changing it to Forever 16, since like me, she is an older gal with a young spirit!

Welcome Pamelina!   I like the new name.  Contact Bob23 for the required renaming fee schedule.

Yes, welcome Pamelina: Is that your real name? Very nice. Fortunately, August is Renaming Fee Free Month so no surcharge to you. However, Mr. Gardner there still owes me about a thousand clams for wearing that ridiculous hat. Still, it looks good on him, don't you think?
Best to you and your future adventures with Forever 16. When you can, post some photos. We're simple folk around here and are easily amused with pictures.
Again, welcome!

Hmmm...fresh clams at Tice's- that sounds doable. The most I've ever eaten at one sitting is about 65. Raw. Although I didn't barf, my stomach rumbled for days. Maybe that was too much.
Looks like I gotta buy more propane for the grill. Beforehand, I plan to experiment with pizza on the grill.

Hey Guys, Thanks for the welcome! Glad I don't have to come up with a Thousand Clams!!!! Launched Forever 16 yesterday. So much easier raising the mast than on the SouthCoast 22. Just motored around a bit then tied her up to the SC22. No wind and way too hot to play with the sails. Hopefully better today. Again, thanks for the welcome! Oh, Pamelina is my nickname, a flair on Pamela.
