I bought the com-pac factory replacement for the beige trim that is on the top corners of the cabin wall/ceiling edge,
Hutchins call it hi-dem - sold by the foot . So , please - how to properly hang this stuff. I tried velcro with 2 part glue - but it fell
2 times after seasonal temp changes.  If it is to be stapled or  tacked up -- what size and hoe not to reck the innner cabin
    fiberglass ?

1/4" stainless steel staples (you can order them from Defender) stapled into the vertical teak trim panels.

I will say that after struggling to properly tension the Hidem material without sagging, I decided I actually preferred the cleaner lines of the interior without the Hidem. So I changed my mind and didn't install it after all.

If it is what came stock with my boat ( kind of looks look some kind of flexible bunting material) I think  I'm going to tear mine out and trim the whole thing out with  teak quarter round with a half inch flat.  Couple of hours in there with a coping saw and a brad gun.  Several people have come in the cabin and commented on how good the interior looks with the exception of that stuff.

Yellow or black 3-M automotive trim adhesive.

Honest, I dropped a $300 Jaguar alternator and broke off the bolt flange. Right through the center of the hole. A little on each side of the break, an appropriate amount of time to rack up and then press the two pieces together...let her sit over night and bolt on the hanger-to-block brace and it never gave me any problem. Yes it kept the belt tight.
