The ice is off Ft Peck Lake, the Corps of Engineers has installed the docks and there was a new set of sail to try out, so took the boat and camper spent three great days sailing solo last week.

Used every sail combination from main with genoa to just a reefed main.  Noted that could not tack with just the reefed main.  Had to jibe, but with such a small sail area the jibe was gentle.

Made a deck grate over the winter.  Noticed that there was a picture on a different style in the C16 blog with wider slats that also looked pretty good.  This one worked like a champ, so far.

Looking forward to the next sail, perhaps with a new rudder!

Nice work on the grate - looks great!

That is one great looking grate. What kind of wood did you use and what finish did you put on it.

Thanks:
It is unfinished teak.  Cost was $245, but there is nothing quite like teak.
