Ahoy Fellow Com-pacers;

  I'm in need of some helpful advice from any of you that have experience in replacing a cutless bearing on a Com-pac 23 or 27.  I've run the gamut on the internet and found advice on several other brands of boats, but not Com-pacs.  I assume the procedure is similar, but I'd really like to hear from someone from a Com-pac.

Hoping for Help

  Well, having no response to this post I decided to go straight to the source of our lovely Com-pac ships.  Visited Gerry Hutchins at the factory and he gave me all the tips and tricks he knew.  I am really impressed with this guy!

   Gerry's customer service ethics are outstanding. He is a model for all small businessmen. And he builds some darn nice boats. Yes, I am biased!
   After having dealt with the owners of a competing small boat building company, which will go unnamed, I can say firsthand that not all owners are up to his standards.
