Hello Owners!

I recently picked up a 1986 Com-Pac 16 sailboat and have been working on it over the winter.  I wanted to introduce myself to your community as well as try to find out if there are any other fellow Com-Pac owners that live near or close to the Hatfield, PA (Montgomery County) area of Pennsylvania.  I have been reading many posts and I really commend all of you for such a fine site you have put together here.  Thanks again and happy sailing.

hello mythreez , and welcome to the site..  i am a relative newcomer -   we bought a compac 23 in March of 2011, but we have already met some great folks here.   our thread is  the adventures of adagio under the cp23 heading.    the boat is in NJ , but we live in  northeast pa.  however, i grew up in quakertown and get down to that area from time to time.   Marty is practically your neighbor, and he is a nice guy..  we met him at nockamixon in the late fall  and spent a wonderful afternoon on the lake in his boat - Pegasus

what kind of projects have you been working on?   where do you plan on using your boat?   there is a small compac community on nockamixon, and i am sure that they would be a good resource.    we will all be looking forward to seeing pictures and to hearing about your progress as we near the spring season !   jt

Welcome mythreez,

You will enjoy this site I'm sure just as the rest of us.

For me, its the camaraderie of the Com Pac owners wanting to share their adventures, expertice and personal experiences that makes this forum so great.

Hello and welcome Mythreez!

As jt pointed out, we're practically neighbors. I live with my 1981 CP16 Pegasus, in Falls Twp., Levittown. I too, am a new CP owner. Last boat owned was/is a Snark Sunflower! Only the hull is left and not much of it... it's now a herb garden! That fate will NEVER befall Pegasus! We're about 6 miles from the Delaware and 30 miles from Nockamixon. Barnegat is an easy 55 miles to Cedar Creek. Plus Mercer Lake just north of Trenton is a great place to take little kids. The ramp is an easy launch and the lake is just big enough to have fun. Only about 10 miles from Levittown (and it's free!). This is a great area for a trailer sailor to live. Look forward to hearing more about you and your Compac. Perhaps we can all get together come the spring. I plan on joining the Nockamixon Sail Club. I believe there are about 5 CP's there. And there may be a lash-up of CPs on Barnegat come May/June.
