Hi everybody! I am a new owner of a 81 Compac 23 and new to the CPYOA. This is a great resource and I have enjoyed reading all of the cool ideas. Well I look forward to getting to know the group. I have a couple questions about my boat, I just need to find the right spot to post these. I am on the Nature Coast area of west central Florida. I have a lot of work to do on the new yacht, but hopefully will be sailing soon! Cheers to each of you!

Hi Dale and welcome to this elite bunch of rag-tag yachties! I also own a 23 (1985 23/2) #321 and I absolutely love her! Whatever work you put into her, do the best you can...they are worthy of it!
We look forward to your future posts about your boat projects and sailing adventures.

HideAway

Hi Dale -- Welcome aboard

What is your hull number  HideAway is hull number 2 and hull 1 was recently discovered in St Petersburg.  I think number 4 is in Dunedin.
We sail out of Boca Ciega Yacht Club in Gulfport Fl.  These boats are more works of art than most others - we get compliments every where we go.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I will soon bring the boat home and can't wait to go sailing! I have no idea what my hull number is, is this found in the serial number somewhere or is just stamped on the boat hull somewhere? I look forward to some great fall sailing once i get some projects done on the new sailboat. Thanks for your welcome!

The hull ID number will tell you what hull number you are. That should be on the transom on the starboard side. Will start with ABV (Compac Yachts manufacturer ID) and then the next digits are your hull number. The last four digits should be when the month/year when the boat was built.
