Hello Sailors---Just thought I would jump in and say HELLO. I have had lots of sailboats but this one needs a lot of TLC. I found a 1980 C-16 out in the desert that been out there for around 23 years. I had to shovel the cockpit out.I would post a pic of it but have not found out how to post it. Iam 68 years old and live in New Mexico, and yes we sail out here. Fairwinds Chuck

Hey there Chuck:
Let me be the first to welcome you. And congrats on your new 16! Watch out, though- I hear that armadillos like to take up residence in older seemingly abandoned sailboats. And as you probably know, armbadillos know a good classic sailboat from a clorox bottle. They seem to be attacted to Compacs!

Sailor Chuck,

Welcome and congratulations on your find.  I take it that as a NM resident you will be sailing your new-to-you CP16 on the lakes in that area.  Best of luck with the restoration.  Sounds like some effort may be needed, but maybe not much cost if the dry conditions have preserved her well.
