CAPT NEMO SIGHTED!

Like many of you reading the writings of one Capt Nemo here at the forum, I've wondered: is there a real Nemo? I'm pleased to announce, that during our recent visit to the Punta Gorda area of SW Florida, that unlike Santa, there is a real Nemo. Using information aquired through questionable means, I tracked him down. Acting on a lead from a friend of a friend of a friend, I threaded my way through Florida traffic which is not bad by NJ standards and made my way towards his private retreat tucked away in the woods where he spends his time tinkering with his CP Suncat. Because he is performing highly secretive experiments on his Cat, I was not permitted anywhere near the ship as she is kept in a highly secure area which is protected by armed guards 24/7.
Nonetheless, the Capt and I spent a few very enjoyable hours together, sharing morning coffee and talking of sailboats, life and anything but politics. He showed me a small sailboat that he built from scratch sitting in his garage and boy, is it ever a work of art! Pretty much everything on the boat is built from scratch including the blocks and sails and the workmanship is superb! It would'nt have surprised me is he'd said he had grown the trees that the boat is made of!
The Capt, being retired, is spending his time wisely and productively and seems to have non-stop energy and an insatiable engineering mind. He is uncommonly helpful at sharing what he's learned over his lengthy boating career and, with so much time on his hands, has offered to wax members boats for free. Like I said, he likes to keep busy and doesn't appear to be an Oprah viewer. So, if you send me $50 cash, I'll send you Nemo's address so he can line up his spring waxing schedule. It's a win-win- I make some extra beer money, he gets to stay busy, and we all get our Compacs waxed for free! Thanks, Nemo!
All too soon, our time came to an end; I had to return to my wife and daughter who both endure my "gift of gab" and the Capt had some things to do. But before I left, I was introduced to Mrs. Nemo who was equally as welcoming and productive. Although the Capt allows no photographs to be taken of himself or his secret laboratory, I did manage to sneak a secret spy photo of his small sailboat "Highland Lass". And, here quite possibly for the first time anywhere is
said photo. Look long and hard- many sacrifices were made to aquire this shot!
Nemo- Thanks for taking time to meet with me and welcoming me into your home during my recent but all-too-short trip to Punta Gorda. It was one of the high points of the trip the details of which I'll post some other time on the forum.

I'm sure the Suncat Nationals Rules Committee will remit the fifty bucks for the address.  I have it from reliable, but unnamed, sources that they have been trying to recon the Capt's secret lab to determine what additional modifications he plans to try to slip past them for this years nationals.:)

"Highland Lass" is a work of art!  Nice job Capt Nemo.

While visiting Capt Nemo, I was given a first hand look at some of the top secret modifications that he was working on. Being sworn to secrecy, I am not at liberty to disclose any information. Suffice to say, it will probably change the sailing world as we now know it.
The spy photo of "Highland Lass" doesn't do it justice. I'd love to sail it with the Capt. sometime.
