LED replacements for old 1981 c23; nav, anchor, cabin lights ?

anyone have the part numbers for the  stern, bow, anchor, steaming,
and cabin light bulb replacements ? I have used superbright products in my catalina 22
and they worked pretty good, so I thought about buying replacements there.

CP23 uses Aqua Signal 25 on the bow or at least that is what I replaced mine with after it was broken (mysteriously while on the mooring) and it looked identical.  There is a festoon style LED that is specifically to replace the incandescant that come with it.

Probably a good choice for anchor, cockpit (enteraining), and maybe stern and of course just fine for interior.  I think it is better to get purpose made red/green for the bow bicolor.

Take a look at "COLREGs and Color Requirements" on http://www.bebi-electronics.com/specs.html.  Some of the photos show a blue light where it should be green and others show a yellow where it should have been white but the green is OK.

Hi Curtis,

They should show an incandescent on that comparison too. The Pure White LEDs are much whiter (higher color temperature... 'colder looking') then incandescent bulbs. The warmer color of the other warm white LEDs is closer to what an incandescent looks like. You can see this in the color chart where they map out what the COLREGs say are acceptable for 'white'... it extends well into yellow and orange.

A VERY bright LED lamp to go into the Bosch red/green reflector on the bow pulpit and the stern Bosch reflector on the stern pulpit.
These are so bright I can't stare at them like I can an incandescent bulb.
Note item #6 under benefits, only because of the cost to certify these LED lamps for navigation is way too prohibitive.



Additionally a red LED standard automotive tail light LED bulb from AutoZone for the cabin 'mood' lamp.
One could also fit an LED in the cabin top fixture. I have not done that, since I don't use that overhead lamp but once in a blue moon.

The steaming lamp on the mast is a LED as well, but you have to do a little soldering and bulb base fitting to make that work and still fit within the clear plastic cover. Worth the 1/2 hour it takes to fit it. And The Davis anchor lamp is a LED as well.
