Winter sailboat cover for mast down storage

My buddy found out the hard way about using those huge Wal-Mart blue tarps.
He covered his CP-19 and let gallon jugs of water hang from lines in all the grommets.
The combined weight stretched the tarp tight UNTIL the snow piled up and pulled the tarp
down over the stanchions and safety lines....opps kind of sort of pulled the screws out of the
deck and things needed repair in the spring. Support the trap but not with the deck items sticking up.
