While cleaning my boat and oiling the teak for my trip this weekend to Cayo Costa I had one.....

In my 30.5 years on this earth, my Com-Pac 19 is the first possession I have owned that is in better shape than when I first got it!
Cars...nope
Clothes....nope
anything....nope.
I love my boat (perhaps too much), but realizing that has made me want to take even better care of it. In fact while cleaning my boat my wife came up to me to discuss some things and she said I was spending too much on the boat ($5 here  $10 there) and she said, "I know you want a new rudder but after that can we stop spending on your boat?"
Then I told my wife about my revelation and that got her excited as well and I almost had her talked into a new paint job.......

Almost!

So tomorrow morning I will be heading south to spend two nights on the hook in Pelican Bay just south of Boca Grande. The boat is packed up and ready. I'll post pictures when I get back on Sunday!

Billy,

Have a great time this weekend at Cayo Costa. I'll try to join the group next year - it kinda snuck up on me with everything else going on.
