Admiral B and I believe winter has outstayed it's welcome and it is time for it to move on to other lands of opportunity.  To get a break from winter we recently purchased WIND on DVD from Amazon for a little bit of nothing.  It is an older movie, but it has lots of sailing sequences and even a decent story line to entertain you.  It is based on the America's Cup and the amazing boats involved.  It is a nice way to spend a couple of hours on vacation from this endless winter.

Check your library or rental store and enjoy some sailing time.

We're still trying to find a copy of DOVE (only available on VHS?) to watch next.  We enjoyed the book and hope to watch the movie as well.

I'll endorse that as well. I've had the DVD for years and watch it to satisfy my winter sailing jones.

I've always thought the story line a bit of a stretch. Who plays the big boat racing game on a budget. Don't take that wrong though. Who really cares. It's just a movie after all. I still enjoy watching it, great sailing sequences especially the open dingy racing. A couple years ago I sold off all the movies I'd collected over the years, DVD's and VHF tapes. Only kept about half a dozen. This was one I kept. That should tell you somethin'.
