By the end of the month we would like to issue a Spring Launchings CPYOA newsletter which will be posted on the site and also go out as an email to our entire list.

Most of what we'll cover is some of the best posts in catagories such as Winter projects, New boats, Sailing tips, getting ready for launchings etc.  Plans for Spring/Summer cruises or activities you'd like to share, either your own or want to invite others, send me a message so I can be sure to include them.

Thanks to everyone for making this one of the best sailing resources on the 'net.

I was perusing the postings on the Yahoo ComPac group today and there was a link to the West Coast (of Florida) sailing group and featured there were links to photos of their many outings.  They usually have less than a dozen boats, but go to some cool local spots for picnics, races, and light adventure and comeraderie.
It made me wonder if we could get some of the boats together for similar regional regattas... they were quite informal, but looked like a lot of fun.
Here on the Gulf Coast there are some barrier islands as well as protected bays that might draw some of our snowbound friends as well as locals in the greater area.
What do y'all think?

I'd love to have a meetup like this. I'm planning to go to the WCTSS meet in October. Let me know if I can help.

When I took ownership of my CP-16 on Tuesday I was handed a 3-ring binder with the original CP-16 manual and brochures for the 19 and 23.

Also in the binder was a copy of the March 1994 issue of "A Barking Dog Sailors Log" published by John Crouch (The COM-PAC Man) of Clearwater, Florida.  I wonder whatever........????

Any day on the water is a great day,

i didn't know what "barking dog sailor" referred to until i heard it from john crouch one day.   refers to sailing at night and knowing you were too close to shore if you could hear the dogs bark.  i wonder how/where john and wife edwina are?
