com-pac rendezvous sailors, i have reserved a room at the bretz wildlife winery (check web site) on illinois 127 just north of carlyle for friday july 9th anytime after 645 pm. they stop serving food after 9 pm so i think this should work out.  it is easy to find and most of you will have to drive past it as you come in (it has a large stone sign out front a large brown frame building with minature golf course on the side.) hope to see you all there.   steve bender

Steve,
My son called yesterday to wish me a happy father's day and informed me that he is planning to meet my grandson and I at Carlyle for the meet.  So it will be me, my grandson, and son there.  Things get better all the time.

Steve and all coming to the Rendezvous.... I checked out the winery website that Steve posted.  Nice place and you can even check out the menu on line.
Good job, Steve.... hope the weather is great.  We are getting tornados here in Wisconsin tonight.  Not good, Summer Escape is sitting in the driveway with mast up and water pouring out the sculpers.  Wow!  More rain.

Hey Doug!  That's great. Nothing like sailing in the rain in your driveway and being close to home.  I'll give it a try before the next shower.  See ya soon.  John J
