I was wondering how many of you remove your sails when not sailing ?

On my previous day sailor (Hunter 170) I would remove my main sail and store it in a sausage bag between sailing. The jib would remain on the boat rolled with its protected UV fabric in place.

During this last winter I was thinking I should have remove my main and rolled it up for the long winter months it would not be used but I didn't, just left it on the boat.

Having the Eclipse, I thought it would be easier just leaving the sails in place. the main is covered but I was worried about the sails breaking down over time.

While my boat is on the slip, I leave it in the sail cover on the boom. When I pull my boat, the sails go in the bags...

What Newt said. My jib is hanked on in in the slip I leave that in a sunbrella bag on the foredeck that is attached to the halyard to keep it off the deck.

Same as Newt.

UV won't get to the sail as long as you keep the cover on.  Now, you're going to have to replace the cover every so often.
