I found some cool web site for making screencasts so I thought I'd try one out by making a screencast on how to post pictures on this forum.

Do me a favor and let me know if the video is even slightly useful. I enjoyed making it. It was pretty quick and easy. And if it's useful I may try it again some time.

Negative comments are welcomed too (I certainly won't take it personally). If the video wasn't helpful at all please let me know so I don't waste any more time.

Hope it helps...

Greg,

Fantastic screencast!  I had already learned to do this using Skip's step by step, but your screencast, I'm sure, will make it easier for others coming in who do not know how to do it.  Thanks for the effort.

Thanks Greg.  Pictures in the posts just makes them so much more interesting.  One note - When I get a picture from Photobucket I copy the "img" link instead of the "http".  This way I can skip the steps of highlighting the link in my post and identifying it as an img.

I do the same thing and it's easy.

Basic steps

1.) Save a picture to your computer.
2.) Upload picture to photobucket.com
3.) Looking at the photo thumbnail, Copy the IMG code, then paste into a reply on this forum.

Yeah, there are really a bunch of ways to do it. You can even host your own images if your ISP gives you any free space (most usually do).

The reason I chose to demonstrate the adding the IMG tags through the forum is because it will work with any picture on the net. I use a lot of pictures from Defender's website. Since their pictures are already on the net all you have to do is right click on the picture and 'Copy Image Address' and then paste it here in a forum post. But if you don't add (or know how to add) the image tags, you'll only be pasting a link. The process is obvious for some of us but PFM for others.

Greg,

I hadn't brought any pic's in from other sources.  I can definitely see why you show it that way now.  Geez, if everybody starts posting pictures I'll never get anything done at home.

Thanks again for taking the initiative to demonstrate this process.
