Hi all!  I'm a new member and own a Com-Pac 27 hull# 13.  My wife Debbie and I sail on West Point Lake off the Chattahoochee on the Georgia-Alabama state line.  We hope to move the boat to larger cruising grounds some day.  Savannah possibly?  I've enjoyed the postings and have gotten a wealth of information to help care, repair,  and maintain  our boat.

Welcome to the site sir. A 27 is one C-P boat I have enjoyed walking through at the all sailboat shows.
So much better then a Hunter, Pearson, or Seaward. You need to find some bigger water. skip.

Thank you gentlemen for welcoming me to the site!  From my understanding on my boat's history, she use to be up on the Chesapeake for a number of years until a couple from Auburn, AL bought her to sail in West Point.  Nice lake but limited.  I can sail from the bridge to the dam in an afternoon.  I've been reading about other Compac 27 owners and how far they've sailed their boats.  Specifically I've enjoyed the voyage of Pixie Dust back in 2007 sailing to the Bahamas on sailfar.net.  My itch to get her out in open water just keeps getting stronger.
