since the last time i was here i have retired. and what a long winter that isnt over yet. im hoping for some fishing and a hell of a lot of sailing this year. high water caused some problems here at lake carlyle in illinois last year. ramps closed and such. this year im hoping to wear out my cp 16 as if that is possible. had sail care go over my mainsail and i made a new jib furler i cant wait to try out (the driveway doesnt count). im happy to see some familiar names again. hope the other members find the site again. a wealth of information and expierence. priceless for a relatively new sailor. hey anyone interested in our midwest rendezvous drop me a line. it will be in august. the location hasnt been finalized as yet but we had a good time last year and plan on a better one this year.(learned a few lessons last year). anyway welcome back everyone and another thanks to capt k. a good guy to be sure.

HELLO ALL, great to see the site back. I have been computer-less for a couple of months and was glad to see the site back. Thank you whoever is responsible! I got to sail the weekend before Christmas and last weekend, also seen another 16 at the lake (#388 i think) he said he recently bought his boat. Happy to be back.   BILL

Greetings fellow sailors!
Well its spring...finally. I pulled the tarp off and started a bit of cleaning.
Funds are short for any real upgrades at the moment, bad time to be in the construction biz.
Anyway, feels good to be climbing over the deck once more.
