I have a Com-Pac 27/2. The rub rails have turned gray. How does one clean them and with what so that they return to their original black luster?

I have the same problem with the "16" I'm getting into shape.  I'm going to try tire dressing as it worked on some old rubber bumpers on a car I once owned.

At AutoZone you will find a polishing and wax compond formulated for 'Black Rubber' and with a whole bunch of rubbing will restore the look you want. I use the product [and a few are out there] on my 1997 Ford Expedition.
