Hello all...

I'm a new CP-16 owner in Maryland.  I'm looking forward to getting my boat out on the Chesapeake Bay soon.  I've been lurking on the boards the past couple of weeks and have been checking out the pics you all have posted of your own boats.  They gave me some great ideas about future modifications for The Hobbit. Once I have my boat cleaned up and ready to go, I'll take some pics to share as well.

Any other CP-16 sailors here in the Maryland area?  I'm just south of Annapolis near the West-Rhode River.

Robb,
Welcome to the best board ever.....The Com-Pac Yacht forum.   Congrats on owning a great little sail boat.  No we are not near you on the East coast, we are located in Southeastern Wisconsin about 30 miles from Lake Michigan.

Again, Welcome aboard.
Happy and smooth sailing.

Welcome Robb,

Com Pac's are a great boat and this forum is a great place to get information or just to keep up with whats going on with the other Com Pac owners.

Robb,

We also sail a 16 on the bay but we are down in Deltaville which is more than a day sail away. We have not seen any other 16's on the water when we have been out but I have met 3-4 people who sail 16's in our neck of the bay, by just haven't seen em on the water yet (have seen a couple of Com-pac cats though and at least one 23). They are a great boat -- at least we have enjoyed ours enough that we are dreaming of moving up to 25 or 27 to allow for occasional weekends in relative comfort.

Thank you all for the responses and the welcomes.  Shame there are not more of us out on the Chesapeake Bay.  I think the 16's design makes it a good boat for the bay.  I guess I will find out in a month or so when I have her all ready to go and put her in at Herring Bay!

Thanks...

Robb
