Hi Folks
I am VERY excited to say I purchased a 1980 CP-16 from an Estate a couple of days ago. I got it for a steal of a price and it is in near new condition thanks to an owner who spent a lot of time keeping her in the best of shape. All the wood looks like brand new and the tiller is a piece of art ... I will post some pictures when I figure that out. I finally stepped the mast and hoisted the sails today. I need a few minor things from West Marine and I haven't quite figured out how the main sheet is suppose to work/hook up ... any details or detailed pictures would be most appreciated. I will be sailing this boat out of Rye Harbor NH ... anyone close to me? Did I mention how excited I am????

Dave,
Welcome and congrats on getting a very great boat.  Don't forget to register your boat data on the register  thread.

We have an 1983 CP-16 and have the owners manual.  If you send me your email I will send a copy of the page with the mainsheet routing.  That is what you need right?

Again, great boat and a great bunch of folks here on this forum to answer your questions or just chat.
Happy and smooth sailing.

We are located in SE Wisconsin.

Welcome Dave

Looks as if you're on the right tack to find answerers about your boat. Be sure to let us know how your first sail is.

Good sailing

Hey, Dave.
I sail on Massabesic Lake in Auburn, near Manchester.  I also have a 1980 but have updated the mainsheet hardware.  If you send a pic I'm sure we can sort it out.

If you ever feel like some lake sailing let me know.
Carol.
