Towing CP16 with a camry?

Hey all.
I have a commitment from a Gentleman from Portland Oregon to buy my 16. He is driving from Oregon to Denver to pick her up. He is using him Toyota Camry as a tow vehicle (I use a Tahoe). I know some of you use your cars for towing these vessles but would like to prep him before hand of anything he should add to the vehicle. I don't know the year or the engine size but my first thoughts are possibly adding air shocks for the tongue load. It will be slow going for him depending on if he travels over the Mountains or not but once he gets over the Contitnental Divide he will make it fine.

Any advice I could pass on to him from anyones experiences before this all happens at the end of July.

Thanks in advance.

Lee,

My wife and I tow out CP16 with a '99 Grand Am V6.  The V6 is helpful when towing, but I imagine a four cylinder will get the job done as long as you are very conservative on hills and passing.  I can set my cruise control between 65-70mph and the car will seldom need to downshift.   We've driven several trips between 150 and 600 miles without any issues.
The Grand Am tows the boat well as far as the suspension goes.  I try and keep the tongue weight around 50lbs., especially on long trips.
He may want to check into a beefier braking system though.  I'm looking into replacing our brake rotors.  On our last trip I think our rotors overheated some and warped.  The brakes pulsate a bit now.  They were rotors that I replaced with parts that might not be up to OEM specs.  I think that with improved rotors, and/or pads that problem will go away.  I'd be interested to see if this happened to anyone else.

I tow my CP-16 with a 4 cylinder jeep wrangler and have not had any problems.  The 4-wheel drive is nice on the slippery ramps.

For what it's worth, I towed a 1875lb uhaul trailer full of stuff when the Air Force moved me from Kansas to New York with a Honda Civic (105hp) manual with no problems.  Only thing I caution him on is if he has an automatic, he may want to keep an eye on the transmission.

I also tow my 16 with a 4 cyl JEEP wrangler. More power would be nice, but it gets the job done.
