Hi Folks,
I'm curious about the references I've heard to a bowsprit on the newer CP-16's?  My boat is an '81 model, so nothing fancy, but I haven't seen any pictures of a -16 with sprit.  Anyone care to share, and also your comments about the rig?
Thanks - Capt. Morgan

Compac's official website also has a picture of the "Legacy" which is the latest version of the C-16 on their official website.  If you scroll down to the bottom of thier short description you can download an Adobe brochure that has excellent pictures and diagram of the bowsprit.  It amounts to a bow roller with a tension strap between the bottom front of th bow roller to the vertical stem of the hull.  The fore-stay attachment point is out on this bowsprit which allows a slight enlargement of the forward triangle of the sail plan allowing a slightly larger jib to be used.  Here is the link to the Legacy description on ComPac's site...
