Hi—quick question! I was exploring inside that little compartment before the mast and found it faintly damp. This was a few days after our maiden voyage in our 1983 16. Does this mean anything? Is there water in our keel? The rest of the cabin was dry.

I would be suspect of the bow eye as they may leak if not sealed properly. If not there I would check the portholes and the mast step. Good luck!
