Ladies & Gents,

I'm pleased to announce the promotion of Carl Abule (Crazy Carl) to the (site administrator) rank of Fleet Admiral.  We have been one FA short for a few years.  Carl will be a great addition to the admin position of this site.  Please help me welcome him to the team...as our only retired administrator.  Mac, Bob23 and I will be overjoyed to refund his $5K initiation fee paid back with interest from the funds our (CEFA) Chief Extort Executive Financial Admiral, Bob23 maintains in reserve.  Right Bob? (Bob, this is where you say, "Aye Aye, Admiral Gardner.  Don't embarrass me with some phony PBR bucks or pull tab equivalents.)

For those sailors that frequent this site, a Fleet Admiral is not only an administrator in name but must be an active participant in the day to day things required to make this site family friendly, non-political, and Com-Pac worthy.  Carl will be as dedicated to that maxim as all of us expect him to be.

With the highest expectations from Carl, I humbly submit, in the words of Al Santini, Sail On!

Tim Gardner.

Congratulations Admiral Carl!  We appreciate your willingness to serve!

Thanks!

I always dreamed that someday, someone would see me not for who I am, but who I can be.
Someone with a lot of free time and too many TV channels.
Honestly though Tim, I'm not interested in getting back my $5,000 intiation fee.  I would much rather see the money go to tailoring admiral uniforms for us.  Wouldn't it be grand to take our wives to dinner wearing them?  I bet we'd get great tables at White Castle.  I can see myself now, standing in our 19's cockpit wearing that jacket and shorts, sailing up to other boats asking if they have any Grey Puopon.  It would promote this site too.  Already people stare at me when I stumble into stores and restaraunts.  Imagine them looking as I wear my CPYOA admiral uniform!

Oh how I can't wait to tell mother all about this.  Maybe now I can finally use the family surname!
Oriental, "The Sailing Capitol of North Carolina".

1986 Seidelmann 295  "Sur La Mer"

Congratulations to CrazyCarl!!!

While I have never met Carl in person and was not able to observe his legendary exploits at the CLR, both bow pulpit furniture used while launching and leaving the dock, and his ability to race with the worst of them, I have been personally helped in a number of ways by him. Why, when I was pondering the options for marine toilets Carl was instrumental in leading me to bulk buy Wag Bags which made the Clean Waste Toilet the only option to be considered. The guy knows his toilets. Additionally, he gave me almost more information than I could process regarding varmit rifles an area in which I truly consider him an expert.  I'm sure others have been generously helped by Carl, consequently I consider this promotion to be not only well deserved but an appropriate fit

Then again it could be just another example of the Peter Principle.;)

Wow, I knew we'd let just about anyone in here but this takes the cake! Speaking of which, I have a great recipe of beer cakes which calls exclusively for PBR as it's main ingredient. I'll bring it to the swearing in ceremony!!

Welcome Crazy Carl! Unlike many of you, I have personally met Carl and Joanie his wife- 2 wonderful people, well at least Joanie is! The Compac forum will never be the same! Thankfully!!
