Loves gas station discussion Eclipse

I was getting gas in my truck towing my Com Pac Eclipse when someone two pumps over said "is that an Eclipse?"  Shocked me as I never had anyone know what boat it is.  He said he has a 19, and we parted ways.  Wonder if he is on this board?  BTW we were in a Loves Truck stop.  Sail on  Al    OffTheWind

Interesting.  When I tell other sailors here I own a Compac 19,  over half respond a Compac 16 was their favorite and regret selling it.  We had dinner last night with new friends who sail beautiful Nonsuch 30.  When I mentioned my Compac is my favorite boat, he responded "Well ya, it's a Compac".  Our boats are well respected in the sailing world.
