Jib height on CP23 and FF2 furler

Good day
I just hope I am in the dedicated section for this question...
Just would like to know how your jib are set up for comparaison.
I have 110 jib and FF2 furler on my 1989 CP23. I always installed the jib high over the furling drum as I had seen in many pics ...
Basically , when I hoist the sail at the start of the season, I feed it all the way up and over the feeding slot then webbing a line between the furling drum and the tack.
When unfurled , the foot of the jib runs clear ( almost ) over the balcony .
Yesterday a friend suggested I'd lower it closer to the bow ( as much as feasable) and I would then gain a lower center of gravity and less healing ...
I noticed that indeed, on the luff extrusion on my FF2 , the groove holding the luff tape runs below the feeding slot ...
Are your jibs lowered all the way to the limit and closer to the bow ??
Willl appreciate your comments

Ha, a universal rule of sailing is that no matter how you do it, a "friend" will tell you that you did it wrong.

The tradeoff here is between a little extra sail area and more rubbing of the sail on the pulpit. Personally I think you did it right, and the same way most Com-Pac foresails are set up.

These aren't racing boats. More often than not I find myself wishing for less foresail area, not more.

Hi jfair. Mine is all the way up as I prefer to not have the job rubbing on the bowrail. I think that whatever performance would be gained, if any, would not even be measurable!
Enjoy the boat! Mine is a 1985 23/2. Feel free to ask any questions you might have! This is the 14th year that my boat has owned me so I've been around the block a few time.

Mine is set low.  It is that way because the length of the luff is such that I don't have any choice.  I do have to fold the bottom and use the slot below the feed opening to contain the luff at the foot.  Is it right or wrong, I don't know, have not had any point of comparison.
