I am installing a genoa on my CP -16.  I need to install a jib lead cleat and track.  Does anybody have any recommendations or suggestions?  Also how and where did you install it?
Thanks.

carry-on

Several years ago, we installed 5/8 inch tracks on the gunwales of our CP16. Bought the tracks from Annapolis performance Sailing. I think that company is out of business.
The Genoa cars were Ronstan??
We also added sliding eye fittings which were handy to hang a fender.
The whole business was about $300 in 2015.
You probably don't need a five foot track but that gives a great range for adjusting a 155% sail. Also, the extra screws holding the longer track add some holding power.
Good to have a helper when installing the straight track on the curved gunwale. The track can be a bother if you usually rest your arm there.

$UM FUN TOO
