Touching up and/or re-coating Cetol

It's probably as good a time as any to touch up the teak on my Suncat.  The prior owner used Cetol Marine Light if I am not mistaken.  I've not worked with this product, and I'm well aware that 90% of the job is prep.  I'll probably start with completely removable items, e.g. the cabin door, and work my way up to items that look dang-near impossible to remove without damaging (e.g. the thin vanity strip along the top of the cabin.  Fortunately, most of the teak still looks pretty good, with a few odd dings and chips.  I want to keep it that way.

Any experienced Cetol-ogists out there want to weigh in?

1.  How do you prep for recoating?
2.  Gloss or no gloss?
3.  Do you ever just tape off and prep/re-apply in place?
4.  When you remove teak, how do you re-set it for waterproofing?
