Hi introducing myself. I just recently bought a new to me 1990 27/2. We're in a slip in Apalachicola. I'm completely new to sailing but not to boating and the information here has already been very useful. It's hard to find much info online about compacs so I'm glad I found this site.

Welcome aboard.  A good place to get answers to questions that arise.

We were just over your way this summer. Spent a week around mobile and orange beach.

Welcome.  I've been spending a lot of time in Mexico Beach as of late, rebuilding our hurricane Michael damaged house.  Maybe I'll bump into you sometime, often go over to Appalach.

Oh and if Bob23 attempts to collect his new member initiation extortion from you, just ignore him, I control everything below the Mason Dixon line and waive all fees.

Now Tim, you've got to be able to offer protection from Vito, Joey, Sallie, Vinnie and the rest of those Jersey thugs.  These are my boys way down south.

It's a new breed being developed to deal with jet skis.

I've had my 27/2 for about 5 years now.  Good chance I will be in your neighborhood late this week or the weekend, if you'd like to get together you can pick my brain with any questions.
I can at least tell you all the issues I've had with mine!
