Had a bit of extra Sunbrella from another project so I threw this together yesterday prior to taking her up to Lake Norman for the week. Good thing too as the skies really opened up 5 minutes after getting her in the water. The cover is secured with snaps to the sides of the wood strips and to the fiberglass under the companionway slide. That allowed the water to stay outside of the cabin, where it belongs! It will also allow me to add hatch boards at some point.

Good job!
I am likely to plagiarize your idea.  I can see doing that with a screen panel  covered by an overlapping flap.

So after a week of sitting in the slip through some pretty substantial afternoon storms, I can report that the only water that made it into the cabin travelled in through the halyards and solar wire. It wasn't even enough to mention, really. I think I'll coil my halyards and hang them from the mast to see how much that helps.
Cheers!
